The last date for filing nominations for phase 4 was April 25, the ECI said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In phase 4, Telangana received the highest number of nominations (1,488) from 17 parliamentary constituencies, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 1,103 nominations from 25 constituencies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malkajgiri Parliamentary Constituency in Telangana received a maximum of 177 nomination forms, followed by 13-Nalgonda and 14-Bhongir in the same state with 114 nomination forms in each, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The average number of contesting candidates in a parliamentary constituency for the fourth phase is 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ECI also directed all states and UTs to ensure the time-bound issuance of a &#8216;No Dues Certificate&#8217; to intending candidates to be included in their affidavits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DELHI: A total of 1,717 candidates from 10 states and Union Territories will contest in phase 4 of the Lok Sabha elections to be held on May 13, the Election Commission of India said on Friday.
