In a significant, strategic shift in South African tourism\u2019s play in the Indian market, nearly 95 per cent of the contingent will consist of buyers from Tier-II and III cities. This move aims to spotlight the immense potential and opportunities these new source regions of India present. These territories hold ample promise\u2014a new generation of eager travellers seeking unique experiences,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She further said: \u201cIn collaboration with Indian travel agents in these emerging markets, we aim to explore South Africa\u2019s lesser-known regions and create worthwhile experiences for our Indian trade partners to promote.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis strategic alliance builds upon the momentum generated by a remarkable 43 per cent surge in inbound travellers from India in 2023, solidifying South Africa\u2019s stature as one of the top three focus markets for the nation. With this targeted approach, we anticipate even more substantial growth in the years to come,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation reflects South Africa\u2019s recognition of India\u2019s growing interest in outbound tourism and its potential as a key source market. Including buyers from cities such as Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Surat underscores South Africa\u2019s focus on expanding its reach beyond traditional metropolitan hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>South African Tourism is committed to celebrating the country\u2019s off-beat destinations through the eyes of Indian travellers to inspire more Indians to visit South Africa.<br>India emerges as a prime driver for South African tourism\u2019s growth, especially given that Indian travellers are the largest international adventure consumers in South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Host venue Durban&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Africa\u2019s Travel INDABA 2024 will be held in the scenic province of KwaZulu\u2013Natal, \u00a0renowned for its welcoming hospitality, lively culture, and awe-inspiring landscapes.
