Fueled primarily by young professionals, millennials, and Gen Z individuals who aim to make the most of their extended weekends and holidays, these brief getaways are considered a vital means to de-stress and rejuvenate in the midst of a hectic lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increase in urban disposable incomes has led to a surge in weekend getaways and staycations, with Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru emerging as the top metros driving this trend, according to data from MakeMyTrip. Nearly 20 per cent of hotel reservations for this type of travel are in the price range of Rs 7,000 and higher per night, with approximately 10 per cent of bookings made for hotels with rates of Rs 10,000 and higher per night. it stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the summer season, cooler climates are typically the preferred destinations. However, Mumbai, Goa, Lonavala, Pune, and Karjat are the top choices throughout the year.
