Approximately Rs 20,000 crore will be distributed to benefit nine crore, 30 lakh, farmers in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>The decision shows the new government&#8217;s commitment to farmer welfare. The government will continue to prioritise the well-being of farmers and the agricultural sector in the future<\/strong><\/p><cite>PM Narendra Modi<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi was launched in 2019 with the objective of offering financial assistance to farmer families who own land throughout the nation. The scheme offers an annual financial benefit of Rs 6,000 to eligible farmer families. It is being executed as a Central Sector Scheme with full financial backing from the Central Government.
