NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched its Lok Sabha election campaign song titled ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’, focusing on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Party leaders launched the song, penned and sung by AAP MLA Dilip Pandey, at an event held at the party headquarters.
The party’s Lok Sabha election campaign has a similar theme, “Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se” (We will respond to jailing Kejriwal through voting). “Our campaign songs always reflect the mood of the common people. This song reflects the sentiments of the people. The lyrics depict the reality of what is happening in today’s times,” Pandey said, adding that the song depicts the dangers that people might face in the future.
AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case on March 21. He is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in this connection.
