Delhi boy sexually assaulted by classmates with a stick, intestine damaged

NEW DELHI: A class 8 student of a Delhi school was beaten and sexually assaulted by his classmates, police said.

The boy’s mother said her son was hospitalised for nearly a month after the incident and has just come home.

Recalling the traumatic incient, she said when her son complained of stomach pain, she took him to a hospital. He underwent a surgery there and on regaining consciousness post surgery, he disclosed the heinous assault he went through from his classmates.

“On March 18, my son was lured away from class under false pretenses by a group of his classmates, who subjected him to relentless physical and sexual abuse. All the children together beat my son, took off his clothes and inserted a stick in him, which damaged his intestine,” the mother said.

As he was threatened with further harm if disclose the matter, he remained silent for 10 days, unaware of the gravity of his health condition.

Saying both school and legal authorities should take a decisive action, she sought a CBI probe.

The doctors said that the boy will need another surgery after three months as several of his internal organs have been damaged.
