NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has been appointed as the National Ambassador for Unicef India on Saturday, marking a significant milestone in her association with the organisation.
The 43-year-old actor, who initially joined Unicef India as its ‘Celebrity Advocate’ in 2014, was visibly moved during the appointment ceremony, where she delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing her deep appreciation and unwavering dedication to advocating for the rights of children.
On May 4, Kareena took to Instagram to express her sincere emotions regarding her new role. She reminisced about her enriching and insightful ten-year journey with Unicef India, expressing her pride in the collaborative work achieved throughout this period.
