KARWAR: An argument between a man and his wife at Halamaddy village of Dandeli in Uttara Kannada district culminated in the killing of their six-year-old, said police.
The woman, in a surge of emotions, threw her child into a canal. On being informed by locals, the Dandeli rural police and rescue personnel rushed to the spot. A portion of the child’s body was eaten off by a crocodile by the time the rescue personnel could take the child out of the canal water, they added.
