Kannada TV actor Pavitra Jayaram dies in car crash, family injured

BENGALURU: Noted television actor Pavitra Jayaram, who essayed the role of Thilottama in the popular Telugu TV series ‘Trinayani’, died in a car accident near Mehboob Nagar in Hyderabad on Sunday. 

Pavitra’s cousin Apeksha, husband Chandrakant, who is also an actor, and driver Srikant sustained serious injuries. 

Bhoothpur police said: “She died in a road accident last night at 1 am at Divitipally in Mahbubnagar district. She was travelling from Bengaluru to Hyderabad.”

As per reports, the car lost control and hit the divider. Later, a bus coming from Hyderabad to Vanaparthi collided with the right side of the car. Pavitra, who was seriously hurt in the accident, died on the spot.

Pavitra, who traversed both the Kannada and Telugu entertainment industries, was a popular star in the South Indian entertainment industry.

Her husband Chandrakant shared the last photo they took with an emotional message.
