A 45-year-old man from Banka city in Bihar fell in love with his mother-in-law, after which the duo reportedly tied the knot in the presence of locals.
In a viral video on the internet shared by @NP_Hindi, a man is seen filling a senior woman’s forehead with vermillion (sindoor) powder amid cheeing by the crowd around them. The newly-wed groom is identified as Sikander Yadav, who was the son-in-law of Dileshwar Darve (55) and Geeta Devi (45).
According to reports, Sikander and Geeta developed feelings for each other after the death of Darve’s daughter (Sikander’s first wife). When Sikander chose to stay with his in-laws even after the death of his wife, Darve suspected something was wrong and confronted the couple, who disclosed their relationship.
Sikander reportedly told Darve that he would speak about his feelings for his mother-in-law before the locals in his village to show his sincerity.
The media reports further claimed that Darve was convinced by Sikander’s appeal and gave his consent for the marriage. After this, the two reportedly tied the knot and also had a court marriage to legalise it.
