AHMEDABAD: Union Home Minister Amit Shah cast his vote in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Tuesday.
Shah was accompanied by his wife and son Jay Shah at the polling booth at the Sub-Zonal office near Kameshwar Mahadev Temple in the Naranpura area.
He, along with his family members, stood in line as they awaited their turn to cast their votes.
“In the third phase of the Lok Sabha Election, I appeal to all the voters who are going to cast their votes today to accept voting as a duty towards contributing to nation-building. Once again, vote for a corruption-free, caste-free, and dynasticism-free system. Elect a government that has experience in public welfare and a blueprint for a developed India,” Amit Shah wrote on X.
“Your vote will lay the foundation of good fortune for not only you but also for the entire nation for decades to come,” he said.

Amit Shah is the BJP candidate for the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat. He is taking on Congress’ Sonal Patel. Shah is seeking his second term in the seat, which is considered one of the prestigious bastions of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The seat was once represented by veterans like L K Advani.

Earlier this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote at Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in the third phase of the polls.
