Russia puts Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on wanted list: Report

Russia has issued arrest warrants for a number of Ukrainian and other European politicians since the start of the conflict with Ukraine in February 2022.

MOSCOW: Russia has opened a criminal case against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and put him on a wanted list, the state news agency TASS reported on Saturday, citing a database by the Interior Ministry.

Russia has issued arrest warrants to a number of Ukrainian and other European politicians since the start of the conflict with Ukraine in February 2022. Russian police put Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Lithuanian Culture Minister, and members of the previous Latvian Parliament on a wanted list in February for destroying Soviet-era monuments.

The country also issued an arrest warrant against the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor, who prepared a warrant against President Vladimir Putin on war crimes charges last year.
